I think swords are better than axes
Its true that axes have those amazing damage and some good combos but swords are actually better. In a battle you use sever artery and gash and automatically the next hit is gonna take quite alot of health. If u do it to an opponet who has half health u can finish off with final thrust and he is almost dead. With the Eviscerate + Executioners Strike + Penetrating Blow he still has quite a few health but with the Sever+gash+final thrust he is lower on health AND bleeding WITH deep wound. Now axes cant cause bleeding now can they?

Axes can spike ur gdmg can swords do the same?? We must all admit that no one weapon is better than the other. Axes are for dmg warriors and swords are for those who do a long battles. Final Thrust takes all of ur adrenaline away while none of the Axes Skills does that.

Ive gone with sword for awhile. I can take out an axe warrior One on One battle. Their Damage is incredibly good but sword warriors can follow up and get them hurt worse. True final thrust takes all adrenaline but its a good ending for the combo

I use a sword all the time, but I will tell you that axe and sword are equals in damage protental and skills, but what to watch out for is an expert hammer war. With the right attack speed skills and knock down blows a hammer war can be devistating, if used right you can kill a monk or spell caster in several seconds, just don't go up against another war with balenced stance or you will be dead.

Its basicly if you want an elite for your weapon, its axes. If you want a different eltie, such as bulls charge, sword is the way to go.
Generally, axes power from critical hits puts axes>swords especially when your chasing someone.

Eviscerate chain > Final Thrust chain. Whatever you can do with Sever Artery + Gash, Eviscerate does it better and faster. Final Thrust is also conditional, meaning if they aren't below 50% health it's only half as effective.

Yea a guy tried the combo u said was better but my combo just put him down fast. Their both the same exact thing and such because both do stuff. Decent Damage with Axes but swords are good for over time damage too

Every weapon is equal, even the hammer... You just have to have the right biuld and know how to play w/ the weapon.

Guess you just started this game since January or you started this account in January?
A person who will say people wielding other weapons as a "noob" is truly a noob. It all depends on your build.
A good axe-warrior can own all sword-warriors
A good sword-warrior can own all axe-warriors
But both maybe owned by a Me/N
It all depends. Try pvp with me if you wanna see how a skillful player can kill you no matter what weapon he/she uses. I'm sure I can kill you with any of my sword/hammer/axe builds. Choose one you like and pm me.

Stop arguing whether sword/hammer/axe is better.
If you love your axe, go axe, go use your Pene-Evis-Exe combo, go use your sprint/rush, go use your bulwark. Don't bother to persuade others to follow your mind just because you got owned by a hammer/sword wielders.
Same to Hammer/Sword users. It's pointless to keep arguing. Let them to play with what they like. If they insist that they are better, then let it be. The best way to shut their mouth off is to kill them in PVP/GVG and ask them to "face down, bitch".

The two ripostes with sword can pwn any warrior in a duel. Axe pwns casters quickly. Hammers are what warriors use to disrupt.

The only situations you will be targetting a war is if...
1)Your entire team is dead, leaving you the last target to kill
2)Frenzy is up, and you're up for a easy spike
3)Enemy doesn't call target
4)Your full team is hard targets
In 8 on 8, unless you're against bad monks, they will kite you; thus giving xes a mass advantage.
Talking 1 on 1 Warrior duel is useless since it will almost never be put into use. If 1 on 1 War duel was often the case, why wouldn't anyone just dump a whole bunch of stances, riposte, and mending ftw?

Dude with my Warrior Monk build I use Mending and wield a sword, you callin' me a noob? Yes, most of these wammos are probably, but I can't tell you the rest of my wammo skills, now can I? People are blinded as to what exactly a true Warrior Monk tank can really do. In 12v12, I tanked 7 guys for 2 minutes, ontop of that also Minions. Our team eventually caught up and won because the opposing team had almost their whole team just trying to kill me and they called me a hacker.
And in Yaks Arena at lvl 15 with Droks, Yeah I was a legend there for 2 days I pvped there. If someone that knew me went against me, they quit right away because they know I would never die lol.
I like swords better IMO with my tank build. Sever Artery + Gash = Ownage, as sad as it sounds since you get that combo in pre sear, but I call it 'Old Faithful'. Never fails on me to get the job done.

You may not want to be asking that question...
The bottom line is, in PvP a warrior's job is not to tank, but to deal damage. It's pointless to build a PvP tank, since no one in their right mind will sit there and attack you while you use Doylak Signet and Healing Hands on yourself. Axe has more potential for straight-up damage in PvP, and thus I prefer axe for PvP. I'm not saying axe is worse or better overall, but I think it's best suited to that purpose.
